Resource Design

Posted by admin on May 3rd, 2008

The splash page of the resource is planned to be an image map of the globe, and will provide a short summary of the environmental problems that the particular spot is currently facing as the user hovers over various locations.

From there, by clicking on a particular spot (which may represent a country or an area), the user will then be brought to the detailed page of the particular case study, where he can learn, in detail, about the effects of climate change as given in the resource framework.

Also, the user can choose to enter the site directly through the splash page, where he will then be brought to the introduction page, and he can then read through the various pages in a systematic manner.

Various media, such as videos and podcasts, will be added to the various pages for users to truly understand the effect of climate change and environmental problem on the real world. These are often missing from other similar resources and hence their users may not fully “feel” the seriousness of the issue at hand.
